IB Coordinator
IB CoordinatorQualifications:Current Alabama Teacher's Certification, Bachelor's Degree or higher.Minimum of two years classroom teaching experience.Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated ability to coordinate complex operations and activities in multiple settings In depth knowledge of current curriculum and instructional practicesAbility to work with diverse populations.Knowledge of the IB philosophy and experience working and/or teaching within an authorized IB program preferred.Essential Duties :Coordinate the IB program in conjunction with the appropriate school and central office staff.Provide leadership, in concert with the principal, for the implementation and management of the IB policies and procedures and curriculum within the schoolAssist the principal in supervising the PYP program.Work with the central office personnel to provide school IB teachers with curriculum documents and resources for the IB program.Provide direct support to IB classroom teachers in the area of curriculum, instruction, and assessment management.Collaborate with teachers in the development, selections, and modifications of instructional plans and materials to meet the needs of all students.Monitor and assess student achievement in class.Use data to make recommendations for improving the program and monitoring program for interventions and support needs.Inform, plan, organize, and coordinate professional development opportunities and support for teachers that will encourage effective teaching practices to include additional summer training.Communicate effectively with students, staff, administrative and supervisory personnel, parents, and community on the IB mission for the school and serve a liaison between the IB program and other programs within the school.Facilitate program evaluation site visits from the International Baccalaureate.How To Apply : All applicants should complete the State of Alabama application on the website and attach it to the specific job number in order to be eligible for hire.
