Staff Accountant
GSA Management LLC/InSite Property Group LLC is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to be responsible for accounting, reporting, cash management, and the administration of self-storage properties.Objective: The Staff Accountant will prepare and maintain the company’s financial records and ensure that accounting records are in accordance with IFRS and GAAP and company policies.Responsibilities:Reviews and posts monthly journal entriesReviews and posts of tenant receipts and revenue transactionsReviews accounts payable invoices for proper codingEnsures that expenditure is appropriately expensed or capitalized in accordance with the company’s accounting policyPrepares journal entries for acquisitions and sales of propertiesPrepares journal entries for debt acquisitions and related monthly activitiesPrepares draw requestsPrepares coding of general contractor invoicesReviews and reconciles the trial balancePrepares bank reconciliationPrepares monthly property financial statements and variance analyticsReviews daily cash positionsAssists with external audit requests and preparation of the annual financial statementsPrepares bank fee allocationsPrepares monthly bank fee analysisAssist with treasury-related administrative work and related projectsOther Functions: Must be able to work extended hours and weekends as neededOther duties as assignedSkills and ExperienceA four-year degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field is required1-2 years of accounting experienceStrong Excel skillsYardi experience is highly preferredExcellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and take the initiativeDetail-orientedStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organization skillsAbility to work under pressure and manage competing priorities while staying focused and meeting deadlines without sacrificing accuracyPhysical Requirements:Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computerSalary Range:$70,000 - $80,000GSA Management LLC is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants.
