Community Support Worker - Job DescriptionTITLE: Community Support WorkerLOCATION: Wichita, KSWAGE RANGE: $16-$18 + $5 weekend shift differentialSUMMARY:You will have the chance to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable youth, guiding them towards a brighter future. This role is about empowerment, community, helping young people overcome challenges and discover their path.ESSENTIAL FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide safe transportation, maintaining a clean driving record and proper auto insurance.Prepare and provide meals to youth.Report promptly to assigned community sites.Guide youth through planned activities and commit to developing healthy, positive relationships.Complete all documentation in an accurate, professional, and timely manner.Assist youth in managing challenging behaviors.Other duties as assigned.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:Strong moral character, integrity, and work ethic.Desire to help other succeed.Ability to actively engage with youth during planned activities and idle time.High School Diploma or equivalent.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental attitude.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Reliable transportation, and a valid driver's license.ENVIRONMENT, COMMITMENT, & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT:Must be able to transport a group of 4 youth to and from community sites.Some activities may require outside work in hot and/or cold weather.Consistently supervise youth with no off-site breaks. There is no smoking allowed, per DCF regulations.EMPLOYEE BENEFITS OFFERED:All CSW'S:Worked Holidays will get paid at Time and a HalfOvertime will get paid at Time and a Half (over 40 hours)Phone reimbursement $20 a monthFull Time CSW'S:Health insurance reimbursement up to $200 a month4 hours of PTO per PaycheckPaid Holidays for all (8 hours)
