GENERAL SUMMARYThe Event Houseman is responsible for the setup, breakdown, and maintenance of event spaces in accordance with event specifications and company standards. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring that all event setups are executed efficiently, safely, and to the satisfaction of clients and guests. Pete's Promise:Service Forward Ruthlessly Consistent Do the Right Thing Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS Set up and break down event spaces according to event orders and diagrams (tables, chairs, stages, podiums, AV equipment, etc.) Maintain cleanliness and organization of all event areas before, during, and after events. Assist in repositioning furniture and décor as needed throughout the event. Ensure all setups comply with safety standards and venue regulations. Work collaboratively with banquet staff, catering teams, and management to ensure successful event execution. Report any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate department. Maintain storage areas in an organized and clean manner. Support the overall guest experience by providing courteous and professional service MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary job function satisfactorily. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTSExcellent communication skills, including the ability to read, write, and converse effectively. Ability to follow and execute instructions thoroughly. Basic understanding of equipment operation and ability to follow instructions for safe use. Ability to read labels and product information. Ability to solve problems and adapt in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment. Interpret instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram formats. Flexible schedule availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate Club needs. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEMust be 18 years of age or older. High School diploma or equivalent preferred, but not mandatory. 1-year previous houseman experience is required, 2 years houseman preferred. Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and furniture (up to 50 lbs.) repeatedly. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and floor plans. Flexible schedule, including availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
