This will be a permanent opportunity.Benefits & PerksCompensation: $115,000 to $135,000 base salary + annual bonusPlease note, this role will be hybrid (3-4 days per week on-site)Hours of Operation: Monday to Friday: 37.5 hours/week (with potential for extended hours during peak audit periods).ResponsibilitiesLead and execute end-to-end internal audits within the Non-Retail Credit Risk portfolio across Global Risk Management, Global Banking & Markets, International Banking, and Canadian Commercial BankingAct as Officer in Charge (OIC) and, for select engagements, Audit Principal (AP) for low to medium complexity auditsPlan, scope, and execute risk-based audits, including development of audit programs, timelines, and resource allocationEvaluate credit risk management processes, governance frameworks, and regulatory compliance across the credit lifecycleIdentify control weaknesses, perform root cause analysis, and deliver clear, actionable recommendations to managementReview and finalize audit workpapers and reports to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with internal audit standardsPresent audit findings and strategic insights to senior leadership and stakeholdersSupport continuous monitoring of emerging risks, regulatory changes, and industry developments impacting the audit universeContribute to the development of data analytics capabilities to enhance audit coverage and risk insightsParticipate in special investigations and complex audit assignments of a confidential or high-risk natureCollaborate with other audit teams and business partners to ensure alignment and knowledge sharingAct as a strategic advisor to senior leaders, supporting decision-making and risk discussionsSupport transformation initiatives within Internal Audit to improve consistency, efficiency, and effectivenessMentor and support junior team members, fostering a high-performance and inclusive team cultureQualifications8+ years of experience in credit risk, lending, or internal audit within financial servicesStrong understanding of non-retail credit risk management, including credit lifecycle, portfolio management, governance, and IFRS 9 provisioningExperience in first line (credit adjudication/structuring), second line (risk oversight), or third line (internal audit) roles within bankingStrong knowledge of risk-based audit methodologies, internal controls, and regulatory environmentsExperience working within commercial banking, wholesale lending, or global banking environments (Canadian Big 5 preferred; international banking experience considered an asset)Strong analytical skills with experience using Excel (pivot tables) and exposure to data analytics tools such as Power BI or AlteryxDemonstrated ability to manage multiple audits or projects in a fast-paced, ambiguous environmentStrong communication and presentation skills with experience engaging senior stakeholders and executivesProven leadership, coaching, and team development capabilitiesProfessional designation such as CPA, CIA, CFA, or MBA is considered an assetCuriosity mindset with a strong ability to challenge assumptions and drive continuous improvementTo be considered, applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada, including holding any required permits.J-18808-Ljbffr
