Position SummaryGelfand, Rennert & Feldman is seeking an Account Manager, Sports to join our team of dedicated professionals. This position can be based out of Manhattan, NY or White Plains, NY on a hybrid basis. The Account Manager, Sports acts as the primary point of contact and overall resource for all client-related needs; is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day finances and high-level accounting review for their clients; oversees a team of Managers and Account Managers in the Sports Center of Excellence.Primary ResponsibilitiesRespond to client inquiries and requests in a timely manner, disseminating client information internally as appropriateCoordinate workflow of the Account Manager and Manager teamsOversee daily client activity, including requests and timely follow up on all outstanding mattersReview work of Account Managers and ManagerCash management by reviewing bank balances and statements and approving transfers as neededMonitor credit card activity fraud alerts and credit score issueDownload credit card activity and order new credit cardMonitor Insurance renewals and claimNew client set up, including bank accountAssist with home and car purchasesCreate tour packages in conjunction with tax departmentConduct tax research and multi-jurisdictional planning, and foreign touring clearanceReview financial reports that may include net worth statements, cash flow schedules, meeting packages, budgets, investment analysis, tour reconciliations, etcWork with internal firm resources to assist with client contracts, royalties processing, and customized financial scheduleAssist with other financial transactions and reporting, such as 1099s, and annual/quarterly filingsCoordinate with accounting/tax department to provide a continuum of serviceOther projects and duties, as assignedQualifications High School Diploma or GED equivalent with 3+ years in a similar role in business management, client services, and/or touring is required;Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is highly preferred4+ years in a similar role in business management and/or touring is preferredAdvanced knowledge of accounting principles including, but not limited to: general ledger, AP/AR, insurance, payroll, bank reconciliations, financial statements and reportingAdvanced knowledge of auditing standards, procedures, laws and rule/regulationsAble to delegate, manage and train teams using clear instructionsSense of urgency and demonstrated ability to follow throughAble to juggle a high volume of work and remain adept at constantly switching tasksStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills to create and maintain a trusting relationship with staff and clients is crucial to this roleSupervision abilities, including leadership, development, and trainingAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)Advanced knowledge of Agilink, CCH Axcess is highly preferredThe candidate must also:Be a self-motivated and detail-oriented analytical thinkerWork well independently and in a team environmentHave a working knowledge of a variety of professional sports and a desire to help professional athletes About Gelfand, Rennert & FeldmanFounded in 1967, Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman ("GRF") is a leading full-service business management firm for an exclusive assortment of entertainers, executives and select high net worth individuals. The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $90,000 - $125,000. Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant's skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
