At Astound, we believe in creating astounding possibilities for everyone, everywhere.Where you will work: This position reports to Astound's office in Chicago, IL.A Day in the Life of the Commercial Network Technician:Assess and ascertain the condition of switches and other peripheralsComplete routine maintenance, weekly backups, daily orders and tickets in a timely mannerTroubleshoot and resolved problemsFollow established procedures and guidelines for maintenanceFollow necessary safety proceduresOther duties as assignedWhat You Bring to the Table:Education: High school diploma or equivalentExperience: 2+ in customer technician (commercial)Competencies: Maintain satisfactory driving record and have a valid driver's licenseKnowledge of Ladder; Hand or Power Tools;Customer Service; Communication (verbal, written)Basic Computer SkillsAptitude to learn to skillsProblem solvingTime ManagementTeamwork; Working aloneWe're Proud to Offer a Comprehensive Benefits Package Including:401k retirement plan, with employer matchInsurance options including: medical, dental, vision, life and STD insurancePaid Time Off/Vacation: Starting at 80 hours per year, and increases based on tenure with the organizationFloating Holiday: 40 hours per yearPaid Holidays: 7 days per yearPaid Sick Leave: Astound allows a number of paid sick hours per calendar year and varies based on state and/or local lawsTuition reimbursement programEmployee discount program*Benefits listed above are for regular full-time positionBase Salary: The base salary range in Illinois for this position is $34.00 - $36.00 per hour, plus opportunities for bonus, benefits and commission, if applicable. The base pay range represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, and capabilities.
