Solar Installer/Roof Lead

We are looking for an experienced solar installer who would ideally have their Licensed Renewable Technician (LRT) certification, or have at least 2 years of solar specific experience and can lead a roof crew. This position is responsible for installing commercial and residential grid-tied PV systems. The Roof Lead will provide support to the Crew Lead of the installation team, communicate job status data to the Project Manager and Crew Manager and ensure the completion of installation of all solar arrays/systems. RESPONSIBILITIES · Basic responsibilities of a materials handler · Support Crew Lead with roof installation Direct roof team by giving clear directions and assigning tasks accordingly Layout Attachments Rooftop wiring Installation of solar modules · Ensure safety procedures are followed by all staff on the roof · Train new staff · Document completion of installation · Clean-up of job site · Attend mandatory training sessions on new products, installation methodology and safety · Attend monthly staff meeting · Effectively communicate with staff via text, phone and email · Additional duties required as needed QUALIFICATIONS · 2 years of progressive responsibilities as a materials handler (or equivalent title) · LRT Certification a plus, but not required · Proven ability to lead a team of individuals to complete a task with clear direction and oversight · Attention to detail · Must be able to lift 50 lbs. · Ability to work in extreme environment (i.e. hot sun, snow, small attic/crawl spaces, etc.) · Must be willing and able to climb ladders, stairs, work on rooftops and stand on feet for long periods of time. · Basic computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office and Mac programs · High school diploma or GED required · Excellent written and verbal communication skills required · Excellent customer service skills required · Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment criminal, driving and drug screen · Must have a clean driving record · Thrive in a team environment BENEFITS · Competitive wage based on experience · 12 vacation days · 40 hours of sick leave · 7 days paid holidays · Health insurance coverage · Profit Sharing · Simple IRA retirement plan · Opportunity for career advancement TSS is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
