Locum Tenens Physician Assistant ??? Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) in Texas Dallas AreaStart Date: July 13-week assignment (possible extension to 26 weeks) Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) team on a locum tenens basis. Located near Dallas Area. This role offers the unique opportunity to provide critical, hands-on care to pediatric patients in a dynamic and collaborative hospital setting. Key Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive care to 6-8 PICU patients during the day, with additional responsibilities during night shifts including new admissions. Perform specialized procedures such as arterial line placement, central venous line placement, chest tube placement, endotracheal intubation, lumbar puncture, and PICC placement. Utilize the Epic EMR system for charting and patient documentation. Participate in a shared coverage model that includes day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts. Engage in call responsibilities, with in-house night call duties shared among team members. Schedule: Start Date: July Shift: 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) Duration: 13 weeks, with the possibility of extension to 26 weeks based on performance and mutual agreement. Qualifications: Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Cardiology. Valid Texas state license or willingness to obtain one. Experience with Epic EMR is preferred. NPR certification is required. Additional Information: Work during observed holidays is expected, with specific times outlined for coverage. Orientation hours are fully billable. Credentialing process is approximately 90 days. Interested candidates will undergo a 30-minute virtual interview before any offer is extended.
