Mathematics Teacher
PLEASE READ: This position is currently only for 2 weeks during the summer (July 2-8, July 28-30)Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and passionate High School Mathematics Teacher to inspire and educate students in a dynamic academic environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong subject matter expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to fostering a positive learning atmosphere. This role involves delivering engaging lessons, developing curriculum, and supporting students’ academic growth in mathematics and related sciences.DutiesDesign and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, covering topics such as Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, SAT/ACT Math PrepDevelop and adapt curriculum materials to meet diverse learning needs, including special education considerations.Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a respectful and productive learning environment.Job DescriptionTeach highly motivated students in a classroom setting as well as small-group and individual tutoring sessions.Teaching assignments are scheduled during weekday afternoons and Saturday.Work must be performed in-person at our office.Work with personable staff in a friendly and supportive work environment.SkillsStrong knowledge of Mathematics including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, Discrete Math, Differential Equations, and Proofreading skills for instructional materials.Proficiency in integrating learning technology into classroom instruction and lesson planning.Effective classroom management skills coupled with behavior management techniques.Excellent communication skills for engaging students of varying abilities and backgrounds.Demonstrated experience working with students in diverse settings; prior classroom experience preferred.Experience with standardized testing preparation and instructional design tailored to individual student needs.Background in higher education teaching or private school experience is advantageous.Minimum RequirementsMinimum BA or BS degree from an accredited U.S. college or university (no current college students, please).Graduate degree and/or teaching credential is a plus but not required.Prior experience teaching high school students is strongly preferred.Excellent communication and presentation skills in a classroom setting.Experience with using Google Meet and Zoom.Starting hourly rate is $25 but may be adjusted based on the applicant's qualifications and experience. A screening test for the relevant subject matter is administered to all applicants.
