Additionally, the company provides free monthly seminars and professional-level training classes in audio, video, and lighting to help advance industry knowledge.Role DescriptionAudio Logic Systems is seeking a Lead Installation Technician for a full-time, on-site position based in Minneapolis, MN. The role involves leading the installation of audio, video, and lighting systems at client sites, ensuring all components are properly installed and fully functional. Responsibilities include cable management, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring client satisfaction through effective communication and quality service delivery. Additionally, the technician will liaise with team members and clients to meet project requirements and deadlines while maintaining professional standards.QualificationsStrong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and ensure client satisfaction.Experience in customer service and a commitment to providing an excellent experience for clients.Proficiency in cabling techniques, including installation and organization, to ensure high-quality system performance.Ability to lead and work in a team-oriented environment with strong organizational and time-management skills.Familiarity with audio, video, and lighting systems, with a strong understanding of the A/V industry.Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites as needed.Technical certifications or relevant training in electronics, A/V systems, or related fields are a plus.PRIMARY FUNCTION:• Install AVL (Audio, Video and Theatrical Lighting) systems in commercial buildings and performance venues.• Provide training and service to client on new and existing AVL equipment.• Lead AVL installations, interface with ALS Project Managers and Designers, lead crew of 2-5 technicians.DESCRIPTION:• Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair AVL systems, using entertainment industry best practices• Accurately and timely document quality standards and project work• Direct technicians and on job site project workflow; assign them appropriate tasks per job specifications• Maintain installation shop area in warehouse.• Work with client’s electrical and general contractors.• Assist ALS Production Dept. on events periodically.EXPECTATIONS:• Be punctual and self-motivated.• Effectively communicate schedules and job site changes to management and staff.• Organize and prepare tools required for the installation (DSP files, specialty tools).• Maintain knowledge of new and existing AVL equipment and installation standards.• Learn new software programs pertinent to the job.• Be knowledgeable with equipment utilized in the AVL industry.• Own and maintain a set of hand tools for working on job sites. • Maintain company vehicle (at company’s expense).• Obtain or maintain a PLT license or Registered unlicensed PLT registration.SKILLS• Ability to read and understand CAD schematics and construction documents• Knowledge and experience with soldering, cable fabrication, cable pulling, and phishing cable through walls and ceilings• Knowledge and experience with Theatrical Rigging• Rack assembly and termination• General Construction knowledge used in mounting equipment to walls and drilling through walls and floors• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment• Ability to interact directly with customers on the job site and effectively manage customer communication.PHYSICAL DEMANDS• The duties of this position require the ability to bend, kneel, crawl, climb ladders and to stand for long periods of time• Candidate must be capable of working at heights and have good balance• Candidate may be required to lift heavy equipment up to 75 pounds• Adverse conditions may include noise and dust• Wear Personal Protective equipment when required by the job site.• Job involves outstate travel.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE• Bachelor's or Associates Degree preferred; will consider technical training with electronics/installation training and relatedexperience• 3-7 years' experience with AVL installations of various sizes• CTS certification preferred; Power Limited Technician License preferred.COMPENSATION:• Strong compensation package, including health, dental, retirement, life insurance and disability insurance.• $25 - $32 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.
