FTTH Installation Technician

Qualifications:Must have 2-3 years experience installing fiber and coax to the home, ONT and router installation, phone service and video. You must be a responsible self starter with the ability to work independently.Other Requirements:Must have reliable truck/van with 28' extension ladder on ladder rack, cones, pole climbing gear, safety belt and lanyard (all PPE: hard hat, safety vest),standard fiber terminating and testing equipment, conduit rodder, telecom tools, drills, bits, wall fish (all hand tools). Must have General Liability, Workman’s Comp, and Umbrella Insurance (REQUIRED). This role plays a critical part in delivering high-speed broadband, voice, and video solutions over advanced fiber networks while ensuring a superior customer experience.Technicians perform site surveys, run and terminate fiber drops, inside wiring, install optical network terminals (ONTs), configure customer premises equipment, and verify service performance to meet company and industry standards. The position requires strong technical expertise in fiber optic systems, including splicing, testing, and signal validation using specialized equipment.This role also serves as a key customer-facing position, requiring clear communication, professionalism, and the ability to educate customers on their services and equipment.
