Senior Project Accountant

The ideal candidate will be responsible for timely and accurate preparation of financial accounting data in a variety of areas. It is essential that this candidate brings analytical and organizational skills in order to best support the accounting team. This position is inside of an amazing company with a lot of growth potential.ResponsibilitiesUtilizing banking logs, check logs, and open payables report to prepare weekly cash analysis so that Project Team can prioritize payments to be released and properly forecast use of available funds.Assist Project Manager, Design Manager and/or Asset Manager with the development of the Budget Reports and tracking of same.Prepare and process financial institution bank draw requests for Developer expenses –construction draws, soft costs, developer fronted costs, fees, overhead, etc.Processing Project generated invoices. Verifying all invoices are within the approval parameters, the correct amounts are processed for payment, and sales tax is included when necessary.Timely processing invoices for payment based on due dates (miscellaneous invoices) and available owner funding. Distributing checks and collecting lien releases, where applicable.Preparation of monthly owner requisitions.Review and approval of subcontractor requisitions and vendor invoices.Managing subcontractor compliance with terms and conditions of the contract (i.e. insurance, bonds, waivers, CCIP enrollment, billing procedures).Assisting Project Management in the monthly project forecast including validation of the projected fee and percent complete forecast.Processing subcontractor and owner change orders in Oracle.Processing labor and AP job cost transfers.Monitoring the cash position of the project and completion of the monthly cash position analysis.Preparation of the project cash forecasts.Assisting the Corporate Risk Manager in the administration of a Contractor Controlled Insurance Program (CCIP).Preparation of bi-weekly Project financial reports for all Projects including available cashreports.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or related degree2+ years of related experienceStrong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, Great Plains experience is a plusAIA Billing ExperienceAbility to multitaskExcellent communication skillsHighly organized
