Electrical Engineer

Senior Electrical Engineer (Contract)Location: Austin, TX (onsite)Rate: $85–$92/hrMust be US CitizenAbout the RoleOur client, a leading test and measurement technology provider serving Aerospace, Defense, and Government customers, is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer for custom engineering opportunities supporting large-scale turnkey solutions. This role works directly with customers, sales teams, engineering teams, alliance partners, and contract manufacturers to define, design, deploy, and sustain tailored systems. Strong candidates will have hands-on experience with the company's core hardware and software platforms and system-level design expertise.Core ResponsibilitiesInterface with customers, internal teams, alliance partners, and suppliers to design, implement, and sustain custom solutionsGenerate requirements documents, statements of work, and bills of materialsDefine and manage project plans, milestones, and design reviews to ensure readiness for deploymentSpecify, design, prototype, test, and deploy turnkey automated solutionsDirect support personnel, manage technical deliverables, and drive field issues to resolutionTravel domestically and internationally as needed (up to ~25%)Minimum RequirementsB.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or Electronics Engineering Technology7+ years of relevant experience in Hardware Systems Design or Test Engineering DesignUS Person (US Citizen or Green Card holder) — must be eligible to work on ITAR projects and qualify for DoD clearanceStrong foundation in electrical engineering, electronics, and computer architectureProficiency in high-level programming languages (LabVIEW, TestStand, C/C++/C#)Demonstrated understanding of: sources of measurement error, instrumentation/equipment selection, schematics and wiring diagrams, hardware/software integration, BOM creation and review, CAD/PCB design tools, and statistical analysis (Cp, Cpk, GR&R)Preferred SkillsHands-on use of schematic capture and PCB design toolsKnowledge of component supplier selectionFamiliarity with compliance certifications (CE, UL, TÜV, etc.)Hands-on experience with relevant hardware platforms and instrumentationPractical LabVIEW and TestStand experienceWhat We're Looking ForA self-starter who works well in diverse, multicultural teams, solves problems independently, leads test and measurement system design efforts, and drives projects to completion with a strong work ethic.Benefits (employee contribution)Health insuranceHealth savings accountDental insuranceVision insuranceFlexible spending accountsLife insuranceRetirement planAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
