NO REMOTE WORKOur client is a privately owned real estate developer that specializes in development and acquisition of multifamily and mixed use developments in Northern California. This individual will be involved in the development and construction activities for land and building projects.ResponsibilitiesManage project consultants to ensure timelines, scope and budget are metNegotiate and execute contract terms and scope with consultants and contractorsProvide site planning design and engineering solutions throughout the development processStrong understanding of estimating, preconstruction, civil engineering, architecture and structural design for site planning and building constructionLead project meetings throughout the project until closeoutObtain approvals and permits for projects' off-site improvements, building shell and tenant improvementsDevelop and maintain relationships with government agencies.Develop and maintain construction project timelines, ensuring milestones are met and within budgetIn depth knowledge of multifamily construction methods, practices, materials, project specifications and costsReview and approve all project construction invoices including contractors' applications for payment and lien waiversEducation and ExperienceBachelor of Science in Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering (Civil or Structural) is desired, but not required.Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role working in the field of land development, civil engineering, architecture, or construction managementExperience in local multifamily development, project municipal approvals, and constructionMust be able to read and understand off-site and on-site civil drawings and architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, fire service, and landscape drawingsProject management experience from a general contractor is preferredSelf-motivated and ability to multi-task and work both independently as well as collaboratively in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environmentSuperior organizational, project, and time management skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsA professional license (engineer, architect, etc.) is desirable but not requiredPromote a positive, can-do attitude with a real focus on customer satisfaction, efficiency, and effectivenessProven track record of increased responsibility and performance across a broad array of areasAbility to innovate and be a creative and strategic problem solver
