We seek outstanding applicants who share our values and vision to join the team, help win elections, and build a future where everyone can thrive.The Opportunity: As a Deputy Digital Director, Email + SMS, you will lead the Wisconsin Coordinated Campaign’s email and SMS mobilization program. You will oversee the campaign’s email list of volunteers, and will guide our digital strategy to shift thousands of supporters in the final phase of the election. We’re looking to hire someone who is well-versed in moving people up the ladder of engagement online – who loves fine-tuning email automations and knows how to build data-informed digital campaigns. You’ll work closely with the Wisconsin Digital Director and others in the Digital department to engage partners with strategic content, and help execute large-scale campaign events.Job Responsibilities:Oversee the email and SMS process from start to finish, including calendaring, coordination with partners, drafting, approvals, staging, and reportingMaintain and regularly update our onboarding funnels for new users, constantly iterating to test new ideas and ensure we are moving as many volunteers as possible up the ladder of engagementFurther develop our reporting system to track the sources of new volunteer shifts, then make recommendations to senior leadership over which channels are most time-effective for reaching campaign goalsManage approvals for internal content streams, upholding the campaign’s high standards for visual and written content. Deliver feedback to junior staff to help them improve and grow as content strategistsManage a Digital Associates to execute the campaign’s marketing mobilization content strategy. Oversee direct reports in all aspects of their work and support their success in the role by conducting relevant coaching conversations, providing and receiving feedback, and creating an inclusive and engaging team culture.
