Senior Technical Consultant Casualty ClaimsLocationWorcester, MAOnsite FlexibilityHybridJob DetailsPosition Type: Direct PlacementStart: To be discussedPay / Salary: $95,000 $120,000 / Year (USD)Job SummaryOur Claims team is currently seeking a CGL Sr Technical Consultant Casualty Claims. This is a full time, exempt role, 2 days in office OR fully remotely (100%) for those who are not near a company office. This position requires daily telephone contacts with the commercial line policyholders, risk managers, and agents. You will be fully responsible for the analysis, investigation, evaluation, negotiation and resolution of complex commercial claims requiring thorough investigations including telephone contacts with the involved parties; technical expertise and complex analysis. Claim assignments are multi-state and involve commercial customers.Key ResponsibilitiesMust have or secure and maintain appropriate states adjuster license(s) and continuing education creditsResponsible for the settlement of CGL litigated cases, involving disputes over coverage, liability, and damages issuesGather the facts and analyze the statements/testimony and declaration of damages to develop claims resolution strategiesWork in partnership with defense counsel and all other parties/vendors to bring about a timely cost effective conclusionIdentify possibly suspicious claimsHandle transferred existing losses or first notice lawsuits over disputed issues of great complexity where the policyholder's coverage is in questionConduct the highest level of investigation, analysis, evaluation, and negotiation on complex claimsMaintain responsibility for all aspects of each claim, including informal hearings, arbitrations and claims litigation and maintaining a high level of productivity, confidentiality and customer serviceBe utilized as a technical resource by adjustersRepresent the company at mediation, arbitration and trialsReview and analyze contracts, leases, and identify risk transfer opportunitiesDemonstrate ability to write positional coverage lettersManage litigation expensesReport into Unit ManagerEducation RequirementsBachelor's degree or equivalent experienceIndustry designation preferredAppropriate states adjuster license(s) with continuing education credits required and must be maintainedRequired ExperienceMinimum 5 years Commercial General Liability Litigation experience with insurance carrier (TPA only experience will not be considered)Required SkillsDedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customersMakes decisions in an informed, confident and timely mannerMaintains constructive working relationships despite differing perspectivesConsiders the perspectives of others and gives them credibilityStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to negotiate skillfully in difficult situations with both internal and external groups; demonstrates ability to win concessions without damaging relationshipsDemonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills; promotes and facilitates free and open communicationUnderstanding of applicable statutes, regulations and case lawThinks critically and anticipates, recognizes, identifies and develops solutions to problems in a timely mannerEasily adapts to new or different changing situations, requirements or prioritiesCultivates an environment of teamwork and collaborationOperates with latitude for un-reviewed action or decisionComputer experience (MS Office, Excel, Word, etc.)Ability to work in a paperless environmentBenefitsMedical insuranceDental insuranceVision insuranceLife insuranceDisability insurance401(k) with company matchTuition reimbursementPTOCompany paid holidaysFlexible work arrangementsCultural Awareness Day in support of IDEAbout GTTGTT is a minority-owned staffing firm and a subsidiary of Chenega Corporation, a Native American-owned company in Alaska.
