Sr. Tax Associate

MMC Group is hiring for Sr. Tax Associates for our client in the North Dallas area! The client is big on work-life balance (details below) The client is a growing accounting and wealth management firm seeking experienced tax professionals to join their team - they work with high-net-worth & high-income individuals, trusts, businesses, and various corporate structures, but these new openings will support a team focused on businesses within the Healthcare & Restaurant industries. This role involves preparing and reviewing a wide range of tax returns while providing guidance and support to clients and staff. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy collaborating with a team, and have a keen eye for detail. Prepare and organize tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and small business entities. Conduct research and provide insights on complex tax matters to support client needs. Maintain accuracy and quality throughout the tax preparation process. Collaborate effectively with colleagues, including coaching and mentoring junior staff. Ensure deadlines are met while delivering high-quality work. Assist in tax planning and provide recommendations to optimize client outcomes. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification preferred but not required. At least 3 years of experience in tax preparation within a public accounting setting. Familiarity with individual, partnership, and small business tax filings. Experience with accounting software, such as QuickBooks, preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and fast-moving environment. The client values work-life balance, so during busy season, they do their best to ensure the team does not work more than 54hrs a week, and during the 'slow' season, the team will get WFH and/or Half-Day Fridays!
