Director of CHB Compliance. The FTZ Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s Foreign-Trade Zone (FTZ) operations, ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations, optimizing zone utilization, and leading cross-functional teams to support efficient and compliant supply chain processes. This role plays a key part in strategic planning, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement of FTZ-related activities.ResponsibilitiesMust be able to communicate and interact with Senior Company Management and Customers in a productive and professional manner.To oversee foreign trade zone operations and ensure compliance with all CBP/FTZ regulations and other US regulatory agency requirements.Serve as the primary liaison with CBP, FTZ Board, brokers, and other regulatory bodies.Develop and maintain FTZ manuals, SOPs, and training programs.Oversee FTZ audits, reviews, and corrective action plans.Follow established procedures and meet or exceed safety, quality and productivity standards.QualificationsMinimum of 5 years Customs experience; FTZ Management experience and/or a Licensed Customs Broker desirable.Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, International Business, or related field.Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Programs (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).Customs Broker desirable.Equivalent work experience will be considered.Required SkillsStrong attention to detail.Ability to understand any and all safety requirements and regulations (OSHA).Ability to make decisions in an objective manner.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Organizational, people, and interviewing skills.Conflict resolution skills.Staff management; requires flexibility and understanding that all staff may be required to perform duties outside their normal area of expertise to meet the mission and goal of the warehouse (facility management i.e. maintenance, sanitations, etc.).Ability to respond to situations in a prompt and professional manner.Proven professional and sound judgment in the management of difficult and/or sensitive matters.Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.Ability to work in multiple systems and ability to input and retrieve data are a must.Ability to input and retrieve computer/technical/scanner data are a must.Must be able to support other area facilities as business need dictates.Working knowledge of 5S and Lean Concepts.Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word & Excel.Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) is a plus.Energetic and highly motivated to succeed.Proven strong business acumen.Fluency in English.Must be able to read, write and count.Must pass drug and criminal background check.Must be at least 18 years of age.Preferred SkillsUnderstanding of distribution, transportation, warehousing, manufacturing operations.Certified Customs Specialist (CCS), Certified Export Specialist (CES), or similar.Experience with ACE Portal and CBP electronic filing systems.Knowledge of bonded warehouse operations and import/export regulations.Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience is a plus.Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssessing and analyzing departmental budgets to find ways to minimize expenses and optimize profits. Support forecast requirements; prepare an annual budget; schedule expenditures; analyze variances; initiating corrective actions. Meet or exceed operations labor budget expectations by assisting in managing staff levels, hours and contract labor to revenue. Identifying process improvement, cost savings, and implement changes to achieve them. Assist in tracking vendor pricing, rebates, and service levels under FTZ. Review and approve all operational FTZ invoices and ensure they are submitted for payment in supporting Operations or Warehouse manager. Work with corporate leadership to establish contracts and pricing and ensuring proper maintenance and serving as secondary liaison with utilities and local government agencies, such as fire, police, health, and safety agencies.Equal Opportunity StatementLOGISTEED-America, Inc. is an equal opportunity organization.
