Accounting Specialist

Abacus Business Computer (ABCPOS) is a New York City-based point-of-sale (POS) systems company that provides one-stop solutions from POS systems to merchant services to growth marketing. With over 30 years in the industry, ABCPOS serves more than 6,000 customers and has 40,000 devices installed. The company's customer base ranges from restaurants to retailers, e-commerce to franchise to international groups.
We are looking for a full-time accountant to join our financial department. The ideal candidate should be familiar with popular accounting software programs like QuickBooks and have a firm grasp of accounting principles and practices.
Accounting Associate Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping, maintaining records and filing systems.
Compiling and reviewing financial information.
Preparing financial forms, documents, and reports.
Assisting with the preparation of budgets and financial statements.
Assisting with tax filings, accounts receivables, accounts payables, and payroll processing.
Complying with federal, state, and local legal regulations and requirements.
Performing other duties as required.
Accounting Associate Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or a related field preferred.
At least two years of accounting experience.
Working knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Working knowledge of relevant state, federal, and local regulations.
Proficiency in MS Office and popular accounting software: Quickbook.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Bilingual (English & Chinese) is required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
