Military Specialist role at Modern AviationBase Pay Range$59,000.00/yr - $62,000.00/yrResponsibilitiesProvide strategic oversight and leadership for Modern Aviation's military and Department of Defense (DoD) customer programs across our network. Develop and implement policies, negotiate vendor contracts, ensure compliance with DoD requirements, manage financial and operational outcomes, and ensure exceptional customer service is delivered to all military and DOD personnel. Serve as the primary decision-maker for military reservations and related services, representing Modern Aviation with senior military contacts, vendors, and at industry events.Direct and ensure accuracy of all military and DoD reservations, resolving complex scheduling challenges and establishing policies for reservation management.Ensure ancillary services for each reservation, including hotel rooms, transportation, and catering, as applicable.Manage the military calendars and X1 reservation system, for visibility with the designated Fixed Base Operator (FBO) Leadership Team.Negotiate, establish, and manage contracts with hotels, transportation providers, and catering vendors to secure favorable rates and service standards for military customers.Lead any equipment requirements required by the military and DOD personnel, in conjunction with the FBO and Maintenance Department personnel.Develop operational plans and parking diagrams, brief FBOs prior to military arrivals, and oversee onsite execution of events.Design, implement, and maintain training programs, documents, and standards for Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) on military reservation processes and protocol.Monitor and analyze military fuel sales, track KPIs, and report outcomes to ensure financial targets are met.Own and oversee receivables from Aircards and military-related billing, implementing financial controls and accountability measures to ensure timely collections.Collaborate with Modern's Military Liaison and Marketing team to identify new military markets, develop strategies to expand business opportunities, and implement ROI-driven programs.Lead company representation at military conferences, airshows, and industry events, including operational planning, budget oversight, and ROI analysis.Partner with General Managers, FBO Leadership Team, and Maintenance personnel to coordinate resources and ensure seamless delivery of military services including Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) contracts.Reconcile and authorize payment for any military-related invoices.Assume additional responsibilities to support Modern Aviation's evolving business objectives.Qualifications and Desired AttributesFocused, organized, and results-driven individual with the discipline to drive a diverse group of cross-functional partners towards a set of defined change-management goals.A person who excels in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable driving to decisions and working through ambiguity.Energized by the opportunities to identify, build and/or revamp processes and ways of working across multiple teams and functions.An exceptional communicator in both written and verbal interactions;
