We do not support or transfer other visa types (e.g., H-1B).We are looking for a Python Data Engineer to join a small team responsible for building and maintaining data pipelines, reporting tools, and forecasting systems. The role focuses on processing large datasets, supporting simulation platforms, and improving the reliability and scalability of data workflows.ResponsibilitiesSupport and maintain the Dayzer production system to ensure stability and operational reliabilityManage data transfers between Dayzer and the AWS S3 data lakeDevelop data reporting and visualization tools using Python librariesImplement monitoring and logging to track pipeline performance, health, and errorsWork with large datasets including historical and weather data for forecasting modelsCollaborate with engineers, data scientists, and stakeholders using Agile methodologiesConduct benchmarking and proof of concepts to evaluate new technologiesMaintain technical documentation and system design specificationsParticipate in code reviews and development best practicesProvide technical support and guidance to junior developersLI-ASDQualificationsBachelor degree in Computer science, Engineering, Finance orQuantitative finance4+ years of relevant experiencein Python development, data engineering, or data analysisStrong analytical and problem solving skillsGood communication and ability to work in a small collaborative teamExperience working with large datasets and data processingFamiliarity with AWS and S3 or similar cloud environmentsExperience building or supporting data pipelinesNice to haveExperience with forecasting models or simulation systemsExperience with data visualization toolsFinance or energy domain knowledge is a plusAt Talan, we invest in our employees' well-being and empower them with benefits, including:??401(k) retirement plan with company matching??15 days of paid vacation per year at hire and up to 27 according to seniority (annual untaken vacation days are cashed out)??8 paid holidays + 5 sick days + 2 personal days per year????Company health, dental, and vision insurance plans + FSA??Voluntary STD and LTDAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.J-18808-Ljbffr
