This is an ideal locum-to-perm opportunity, and the provider must be qualified to handle c-sections. The schedule involves 1-2 weeks of hospital OB call each month and 4-8 days in the clinic for general GYN patients. Position OverviewSpecialty:Family Medicine with OB experience Location:Near LEWISTON, CA Schedule:ASAP - Ongoing1-2 weeks of Hospital OB Call each month 4-8 days in the Clinic for General GYN patients (consecutive) 4 -10 hour shift in the clinic a week OB/pediatric on call 1:4 hospital coverageResponsibilitiesInpatient and outpatient coverage Handle c-sections, OB procedures, and minor family practice procedures 18-25 clinic patients Admissions per day: 0-1 hospital admission Patients/day in the clinic: 15-17 Types of cases: Variety of Family Practice and OB cases Number of deliveries: 94 a year C-sections: Approx. 40/year NICU level: No (50 mins away in Redding - LVL 3) Support and FacilitiesEMR: Cerner Support staff: Supervisor, MA, clerks 15 min call response time for in-house anesthesia Backup situation: General Surgeon on Call for C-section closure MSO requires the application within 3 days of confirmation despite the start date Submission RequirementsBoard Certified Family Medicine or Board Eligible FM:Required Active CA license:Required OB Fellowship:Required Active ACLS, DEA, PALS (for peds call):Required Must state availability (# of shifts per month) at time of name clear:Required Must be qualified to handle c-sections:Required Clean malpractice/Background:Required Local, no flights:Highly Preferred Disclose if provider has worked at any other CHI/Dignity Facility:Required COVID Vaccine:Required Certification RequirementsACLS Board Certified Board Eligible DEA PALS State License RequirementsCalifornia If you are an experienced Family Medicine Provider with OB experience interested in this ongoing opportunity, please submit your application through the provided channels.
