DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY:The Maintenance & Repair Technician installs and performs preventive maintenance and repairs of manufacturing equipment, including CNC machinery, filtration units, monitoring fluid levels, coolant concentration, and more. Additionally, the Maintenance & Repair Technician performs general building maintenance, including electrical, lighting, plumbing, doors, fixtures, and more.Essential Job FunctionsPerform regular preventive maintenance on all production equipment: injection molding presses, ancillary equipment, and forkliftOperate and modify injection molding machine controlsPerform internal and external building maintenance such as lighting, water, gas, cooling towers, air compressors, painting, cleaning plumbingOrder parts & supplies and maintain a replacement part supplies inventoryRepair and troubleshoot: injection molding machines, ancillary injection molding equipment, forklift, various types of metal working equipment including general machine tools and CNC equipment Install and maintain computer cable systemMaintain a clean and safe working areaNotify supervisor of all unsafe or hazardous conditions or defective equipmentDrive company vehiclePerform duties in a safe manner with regard for the safety of othersIndividual supports the Facilities Manager in day-to-day tasksUtilize six-sigma quality tools, when appropriate, to define, measure, analyze, improve and control processes and outcomesResponsible to maintain & support processes, procedures & K.P.I.’s owned by your positionReview of all procedures related to your job per “HR LG 01 Training Matrix”Completion within time stated of all training required by Job Description in “HR LG 01 Training Matrix”Perform other duties as assignedRegular and punctual attendanceFollow all Company policies and proceduresRequirementsITAR REQUIREMENTS:To conform to U.S. export control regulations, applicant should be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. GovernmentSkill RequirementsGood communications skillsSelf-motivatedComputer literateAttention to detailRead, write & speak EnglishAble to follow written & oral instructionsWorking hours are Monday - Friday 3:00 pm - 11:30 pmQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent3-5 years’ experienceGeneral knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, welding, brazing soldering principles and practicesPhysically capable to perform duties (no fear of heights)Valid, clean driver’s licenseGeneral knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, heating, and AC systemsFlexibility in working scheduleComplete knowledge of all electrical and mechanical hand toolsWork EnvironmentThe performance of this position will require exposure to the manufacturing areas where all areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shoes, and other mandatory safety equipment. For the most part, ambient temperatures with typical plant lighting and manufacturing equipment are present throughout the facility. Physical DemandsSit or stand as needed. Walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day. Reaching above shoulder height, below the waist, or lifting as required to reach documents or store materials throughout the workday. Proper lifting techniques required. Ability and comfortability to work in small confine spaces while following proper safety protocol.
