Maintenance & Repair Technician - B Shift

Job DescriptionThe Maintenance & Repair Technician installs and performs preventive maintenance and repairs of manufacturing equipment, including CNC machinery, filtration units, monitoring fluid levels, coolant concentration, and more. Additionally, the Maintenance & Repair Technician performs general building maintenance, including electrical, lighting, plumbing, doors, fixtures, and more.\n\nESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:\n\nPerform regular preventive maintenance on all production equipment: injection molding presses, ancillary equipment, and forklift\nOperate and modify injection molding machine controls\nPerform internal and external building maintenance such as lighting, water, gas, cooling towers, air compressors, painting, cleaning plumbing\nOrder parts & supplies and maintain a replacement part supplies inventory\nRepair and troubleshoot: injection molding machines, ancillary injection molding equipment, forklift, various types of metal working equipment including general machine tools and CNC equipment\nInstall and maintain computer cable system\nMaintain a clean and safe working area\nNotify supervisor of all unsafe or hazardous conditions or defective equipment\nDrive company vehicle\nPerform duties in a safe manner with regard for the safety of others\nIndividual supports the Facilities Manager in day-to-day tasks\nUtilize six-sigma quality tools, when appropriate, to define, measure, analyze, improve and control processes and outcomes\nResponsible to maintain & support processes, procedures & K.P.I.'s owned by your position\nReview of all procedures related to your job per "HR LG 01 Training Matrix"\nCompletion within time stated of all training required by Job Description in "HR LG 01 Training Matrix"\nPerform other duties as assigned\nRegular and punctual attendance\nFollow all Company policies and procedures\n\n\nRequirements\nITAR REQUIREMENTS:\nTo conform to U.S. export control regulations, applicant should be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government\n\nSKILL REQUIREMENTS:\n\nGood communications skills\nSelf-motivated\nComputer literate\nAttention to detail\nRead, write & speak English\nAble to follow written & oral instructions\nWorking hours are Monday - Friday 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm\n\n\nQUALIFICATIONS:\n\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\n3-5 years' experience\nGeneral knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, welding, brazing soldering principles and practices\nPhysically capable to perform duties (no fear of heights)\nValid, clean driver's license\nGeneral knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, heating, and AC systems\nFlexibility in working schedule\nComplete knowledge of all electrical and mechanical hand tools\n\n\nWORK ENVIRONMENT:\n\nThe performance of this position will require exposure to the manufacturing areas where all areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shoes, and other mandatory safety equipment.\nFor the most part, ambient temperatures with typical plant lighting and manufacturing equipment are present throughout the facility.\n\n\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS:\n\nSit or stand as needed.\nWalking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day.\nReaching above shoulder height, below the waist, or lifting as required to reach documents or store materials throughout the workday.\nProper lifting techniques required.\nAbility and comfortability to work in small confine spaces while following proper safety protocol.\nAbility to accomplish the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.\n\n\nSAFETY AND POLICY PRACTICES:\nEach employee must be knowledgeable of standard safety policies and procedures and adhere to the same while supporting the goals and objectives of the organization and recognizing the Company's need to achieve its business objectives.
