Project Manager - Architectural (Hybrid)

Job Description Seeking to hire an Architectural Project Manager for our client in Des Plaines, IL. This role is Direct Hire and reports to the Senior Project Manager. This is a hybrid role requiring Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and one Thursday/month onsite.Duties: Responsible for specific technical design aspects of multiple minor scope projects, including investigation, evaluation, and recommendation of project solutions that best meet the client’s needs Provides professional architectural management of the entire project including the conceptual, schematic, design development, construction documents, and construction administration phases Leads coordination with consultants, client teams, and internal resources. Conducts assignments requiring the coordination of budgets, scope and schedule, and construction site representation May provide technical guidance to less experienced architects/architectural staffRequirements: Professional degree in architecture, plus at least 4 years of related experience Proficient in Revit and/or AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Revu Microsoft PowerPoint, Enscape, and/or 3D Studio Max Supports quality drawing production through QA/QC of own and team’s work before delivering to Senior Project Manager and client Actively seeks to gain knowledge and understanding by thoroughly mastering tasks and responsibilities through proactive involvement Produces SD, DD, and CD drawings based on examples or template sets Confidently navigates and applies applicable codes to commercial projects Works independently with minimal oversight from the team lead Demonstrates a working knowledge of commercial architectural processes. Adaptable to different situations and receptive to new ideasPosition Responsibilities Include:TECHNICAL Reliable, completes assignments, and meets deadlines with accuracy and completeness Highly organized, capable of retaining knowledge for future application and sharing learned insights with team members Documents for accuracy and ensure quality by marking corrections / red lines in preparation for the review, bidding, permitting, and construction Identifies, researches, and develops solutions for technical and design challenges Performs code research to ensure that all necessary codes are applied to design solutions and construction documentation Manages the permitting process in its entirety Manages the coordination of projects with all outside project consultants and vendors. Manages and performs site observations and prepares site visit reports Manages the Construction Administration phase including responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, participating in OAC calls Creates and maintains project documentation per company standardsCOMMUNICATION Follows instructions of supervisor accurately and efficiently Actively seeks feedback and acts on it, aiming to improve both personally and as a team Thrives in a team-oriented, collaborative setting Consistently communicates, concisely, and professionally, both in speech and writing Writes reports and memos to consultants and vendors to issue changes and track resolutions Reviews and redlines completed reports, outside consultant plans, estimates, and calculations for coordination and compliance with project scope Actively participates in project reviews regarding project costs, budgets, and adherence to schedule. Prepares and distributes meeting minutesTEAM MANAGEMENT Skilled in leading projects, including setting priorities and assigning tasks Oversees and works collaboratively, offering technical expertise and guidance Assists with mentoring, training, and coordinating the work of teammates Ensures that design and QC reviews occur at the designated stages of projects Assist in scheduling and meeting project deadlinesCLIENT RELATIONSHIP Responsible for coordinating professional service contracts Actively maintains positive relationships with clients during the project, ensuring they are regularly informed about the progress Participates in client relationship meetings alongside the Team LeadFINANCIAL MANAGEMENT/ BILLING Understands the project schedule, scope changes, budget, and proposal Participates in monthly billing alongside the Team LeadCompany DescriptionReal People.
