Job Title: OR Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Weekend Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of OR nurse experience License: Active Indiana Nurse License Certifications: BLS (AHA only), ACLS (AHA only) Must-Have: Active Indiana Nurse License BLS (AHA only) ACLS (AHA only) Minimum 2 years OR RN circulator experience Description: The Operating Room Registered Nurse will be responsible for the delivery of patient care during surgical procedures. The nurse will function as a circulator and assist with opening cases as well as getting the operating room prepared. The nurse will be required to meet specific case requirements, including trauma, general surgery, and gynecology. Call duty is required, including night and full weekend call. The nurse will work in a setting with computerized charting and medication systems. Registered nurses will be oriented to different specialties and must attend all scheduled orientation days. Weekend shifts will be scheduled based on patient volume and operational needs. This position requires independent functioning while having resources available for support. Nurses may be required to float to other departments as needed. The dress code includes scrubs provided by the facility.
