The selected candidate will work closely with manufacturing plant teams to identify opportunities for implementing innovative digital technologies that improve manufacturing efficiency, quality, and equipment reliability.The ideal candidate has a passion for computer vision, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and industrial automation, with experience developing vision inspection systems and analyzing machine or sensor data for manufacturing applications.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop computer vision solutions for manufacturing and quality inspection.Build AI and Machine Learning models for analyzing machine and sensor data.Identify manufacturing challenges and develop innovative IoT-based solutions.Analyze customer and production requirements to align technology solutions with business needs.Support the development and execution of Honda's IoT strategy and technology roadmap.Evaluate emerging technologies for future manufacturing applications.Develop proof-of-concept (POC) solutions and transition successful concepts into production deployments.Support machine learning and analytical processes used in IoT projects.Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to improve manufacturing performance and reliability.Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Controls Engineering, Systems Engineering, Data Science, or related field.Minimum 2+ years of experience in:Manufacturing automationIndustrial controlsMachine learningEmbedded systemsData engineeringAutomotive manufacturingRequired Technical SkillsUnderstanding of manufacturing equipment controls.Experience with PLCs such as:MitsubishiRockwellSiemensOmronStrong understanding of Computer Vision including:Image SegmentationMorphologyPose EstimationCamera CalibrationImage EnhancementFeature ExtractionImage Classification3D VisionDeep LearningExperience developing vision applications using:PythonC++HALCONMatroxCognexKeyenceExperience with:Vibration analysisAudio analysisCurrent signature analysis
