The company is committed to a customer-first philosophy, ensuring high-quality experiences and outcomes on every project.Role DescriptionThe Accounting Specialist I will be responsible for managing various financial processes, including credit card entries, accounts payable, and bank reconciliations. This role emphasizes exceptional customer service and a positive can-do attitude, always ensuring compliance and confidentiality. Attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work independently are key.  Essential ResponsibilitiesManage monthly credit card entries, including importing transactions from the bank, auditing coding accuracy, overseeing approval processes, and exporting data to the CMS system.Oversee Accounts Payable operations by managing a high volume of emails to the AP account, reviewing and processing invoices, initiating rejections, filing invoices for further processing, and entering payablesMaintain vendor-paid receipts for record-keeping and audit complianceReconcile all bank statements to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial recordsPerform additional duties as assigned, providing support for various financial and administrative functionsRequired SkillsProficient in Microsoft 365 Applications (Word, Excel, Teams)Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all tasks and deliverablesStrong ability to work both independently and collaboratively, contributing effectively to team goals while managing individual responsibilitiesAlways maintains confidentiality by handling sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.Demonstrates proficient communication skills, especially in written forms, and is capable of engaging effectively across a range of platforms, including phone calls, emails, text messages, and face-to-face interactions.Ability to multitask and effectively manage a variety of tasks concurrently.Consistent meeting of deadlines and effectively addresses priorities, contributing positively to overall organizational success.Ability to problem-solve efficiently with a focus on clear, efficient communication to resolve issues effectivelyEducational ExperienceBachelor’s degree in business or accounting with 1 or more years of relevant experience; OrAssociate’s degree in business or accounting with 3 or more years of relevant experience; Or5 or more years of relevant experience, with a high school diploma or equivalentReporting StructureReports to Accounting ManagerThis position does not have direct reportsTravel0-5% Travel RequiredMinimal travel required. Reasons for travel include, but are not limited to, conferences, team meetings at corporate headquarters, and/or other office locationsPhysical RequirementsSedentary work in a climate-controlled environment with moderate noise levels. Most duties performed require the use of a computer and a phone, as well as in-person or virtual meetings. Maintain a stationary position for prolonged periods during the shift. Constant operation of computer and other office equipment such as copy machine, phone, and printer. Occasionally, transport objects up to 15 lbs. such as small parcels, packages, and other items.
