In this role, you will support the design, development, testing, and implementation of control systems for large-scale utility and plant support applications using modern automation platforms.The position involves working closely with engineering and project teams to deliver reliable automation solutions supporting facility infrastructure and industrial utility systems.Key Responsibilities:• Develop functional specifications and control documentation, including sequence of operations and system documentation.• Collaborate with electrical design teams to support control panel and system drawing packages• Program, test, and deploy PLC, DCS, and HMI control systems for industrial utility applications.• Develop and support system testing procedures, including factory and site acceptance testing.• Assist with system commissioning, start-up activities, and validation during project deployment.• Provide technical guidance and training to internal teams and end users when required.• Troubleshoot and support existing automation systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.Required Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution.3–6 years of experience in industrial controls, automation, or related engineering roles.• Experience working with industrial automation platforms such as PLC, DCS, and HMI systems• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols commonly used in automation environments.• Experience supporting industrial utility or process control systems is highly valued.• Ability to travel approximately 25% for project meetings, site visits, and commissioning activities.Preferred Qualifications:• Professional Engineer (PE) license or progress toward licensure.• Experience leading technical project tasks or small engineering teams• Additional experience in industrial automation or process systems is a plus.About NR ConsultingFounded in 2005, NR Consulting is a leading global provider of workforce solutions, technology services, and recruitment strategy, trusted by Fortune 500 and mid-sized organizations across North America, Europe, and Asia.
