The RN collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, coordinated, and effective care.In the Charge Nurse role, the RN manages patient flow, coordinates staff assignments, communicates with EMS, triage, and the House Supervisor, and works closely with providers, ED techs, ward clerks, and crisis evaluators to maintain efficient operations.The ED is a 29-bed monitored unit with psych-safe rooms and variable hall beds, staffed at a 4-5:1 nurse-to-patient ratio based on acuity.
