Occupational Therapist - Park Falls, WI

Providing specialized occupational therapy in an acute inpatient and swing bed rehabilitation setting, this role offers the opportunity to work independently and make a significant impact on patients' recovery journeys. This contract position is based in Park Falls, WI, and is ideal for therapists who possess strong clinical skills and excellent communication abilities.Responsibilities:Develop and implement individualized plans of care for patients.Assess and assist patients primarily during morning ADLs to address weakness related to illness, pneumonia, COVID, CHF, and COPD.Manage a caseload of 7-11 patients per day in acute inpatient and swing bed rehab settings.Document thoroughly and maintain accurate patient records using Cerner EMR.Collaborate with outpatient occupational therapists for resources and support.Adapt quickly and work independently as the sole inpatient/swing bed therapist.Participate in a department-specific orientation week with the current therapist.Qualifications & Experience:Valid State License and BLS certification required.Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience outside of schooling is required.Comfortable working as the only therapist in inpatient and rehab environments.Prior experience with acute inpatient and rehab patients preferred.Ability to work Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM schedule.Previous experience with the healthcare system is noted but not mandatory; returning clinicians must have not worked there in the last six months.Location - Park Falls, WI: Nestled in a scenic area known for its natural beauty and outdoor recreational opportunities, Park Falls offers a welcoming community atmosphere with small-town charm.
