About the CompanyOur client is a nationally recognized commercial general contractor delivering complex ground-up construction projects across the United States. With continued growth throughout Texas and the Southeast, they are seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent to lead projects while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and schedule performance.About the RoleThe Traveling Superintendent will oversee all on-site construction activities from mobilization through project closeout. This role requires extensive travel throughout Texas and the Southeast, managing multiple commercial projects while coordinating subcontractors, owners, architects, and project teams to ensure successful project delivery. Candidates should be comfortable working away from home for extended periods and thrive in a fast-paced, travel-intensive environment.ResponsibilitiesLead all field operations on ground-up commercial construction projects.Manage daily site activities to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and field personnel.Develop and maintain short-term and long-term construction schedules.Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce OSHA regulations.Ensure quality control standards are achieved throughout construction.Review construction documents, specifications and shop drawings.Identify and resolve field issues proactively.Coordinate inspections and maintain relationships with local authorities.Manage project documentation including daily reports, RFIs and punch lists.Work closely with Project Managers to monitor costs and project progress.Attend owner, architect and subcontractor meetings.Lead project turnover and closeout activities.Qualifications8+ years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial ground-up construction projects.Experience managing projects valued between $20M–$100M+.Willingness to travel throughout Texas and the Southeast on a full-time basis.Strong leadership and subcontractor management skills.Excellent knowledge of construction sequencing and scheduling.Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.OSHA 30 certification preferred.Experience with Procore, Bluebeam and Microsoft Project is highly desirable.Strong communication and organizational skills.Pay range and compensation packageTraveling Superintendent – Commercial Construction Home Base: Madison, WI Travel: Extensive (100%) – Texas & Southeast U.S. Employment Type: Full-Time
