SUMMARY: Individuals in this position assemble company products.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Assemble company products at standard rateFollow written work instructions and complete required quality documentsAccurately post transactions using shop floor data collection devices Interpret mechanical drawings to assemble products correctlyUse personal hand tools as needed to assist in the assembly processPerform other duties as assignedSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None.QUALIFICATIONS: Able to pass a pre-employment math and measurement testProficient in using measuring equipment (preferred)Ability to read mechanical drawings with minimal assistance (preferred)Understanding of dimensional tolerances (preferred)Able to read a tape measure to 1/16" accuracyEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:High School Diploma or GED equivalent requiredREQUIRED SKILLS:Basic reading and writing skillsBasic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)Able to convert decimals to fractions and fractions to decimalsBasic keyboarding skills including how to print documentsPHYSICAL DEMANDS:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.WORK ENVIRONMENT:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the non-air conditioned work environment is usually moderate.
