This internship is ideal for students interested in engineering, manufacturing operations, and project management who want hands-on experience working on real projects that impact safety, quality, delivery, and cost.You will work closely with engineers, supervisors, and cross‑functional team members on active shop‑floor initiatives—not just observation or shadowing.What You’ll DoSupport planning and execution of manufacturing and engineering projectsTrack project timelines, milestones, action items, and risksCoordinate communication between engineering, operations, maintenance, and quality teamsPrepare and maintain project documentation, schedules, and status reportsAssist with meeting agendas, notes, and follow‑up actionsAnalyze basic production or project data to identify improvement opportunitiesSupport continuous improvement, process optimization, and engineering change initiativesSpend time on the manufacturing floor to understand and develop processes, assist in sampling and create operator instructions.What You’ll LearnHow engineering and manufacturing projects operate in a die casting plantPractical project management skills used in industrial environmentsHow to communicate and coordinate across engineering and production teamsExposure to manufacturing processes, equipment, and workflowsHow continuous improvement projects are identified, tracked, and executedRequired QualificationsCurrently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in:Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial EngineeringEngineering ManagementOperations, Supply Chain, or a related technical fieldStrong organization and time‑management skillsComfortable working in a hands‑on, manufacturing environmentClear written and verbal communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic data analysisAbility to manage multiple tasks and shifting prioritiesPreferred QualificationsInterest in project management and manufacturing leadershipExperience with team projects, capstone work, or internshipsFamiliarity with project tracking tools (Excel, Smartsheet, MS Project, Jira, etc.)Exposure to manufacturing, machining, or metal casting environmentsLean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement coursework (a plus)What We OfferPaid internship with real project ownershipMentorship from experienced engineers and project leadersMeaningful, resume‑ready manufacturing project experienceExposure to engineering operations in a high‑impact production settingOpportunity to be considered for future internships or full‑time roles
