Apollo Technical has an immediate need for a Remote Senior Electrical Engineer (Power Systems & Infrastructure)The OpportunityWe are looking for a forward-thinking Electrical Engineer with a deep background in power delivery to join our team. This is a high-impact role designed for a professional who thrives on innovation and possesses the independent judgment necessary to drive program objectives.Operating in a primarily remote environment, you will serve as a bridge between technical requirements and client goals, ensuring infrastructure projects are resilient, compliant, and cutting-edge.Core Responsibilities:Technical Leadership: Serve as the Engineering Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing strategic guidance to project and facility managers to solve complex technical hurdles.Grid & Infrastructure Strategy: Lead transmission planning studies and design infrastructure strategies that balance business goals with strict state and federal regulatory policies.Utility & Interconnection Management: Drive client engagement with electric utilities, overseeing feasibility studies, power topology design, and the interconnection process for both load and generation.Simulation & Analysis: Model and analyze operational scenarios in simulated environments to proactively identify grid challenges and optimization opportunities.Project Lifecycle Support: From inception to execution—scope power delivery projects, draft RFPs, develop ROM cost estimates, and provide technical due diligence for land and permit acquisitions.Digital Innovation: Collaborate with stakeholders to refine data analytics that power our proprietary SaaS tools.QualificationsEducation & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field) with 8+ years of direct experience.Preferred: Professional Engineering (PE) License and/or an Advanced Degree.Technical Proficiency: Expert-level familiarity with PowerWorld Simulator, ETAP-G (or similar EMS), PLS-CADD, and GIS platforms.Blueprint Literacy: Ability to interpret and critique complex construction documents, drawings, and specifications.Communication: Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse, remote teams.Requirements: Must hold a valid driver’s license.
