Vice President - Event Sponsorship
Role OverviewThe VP of Event Sponsorship will lead the sponsorship strategy, sales, and partnership ecosystem for Hustle Magazine’s events portfolio, including conferences, networking events, summits, awards, creator experiences, and branded activations. This leader will drive sponsorship revenue growth, build strategic brand partnerships, and oversee end-to-end sponsor engagement.Key Responsibilities:Sponsorship Revenue & StrategyOwn annual sponsorship revenue targets across all magazine events and experiences.Develop sponsorship packages, tiered offerings, and integrated media/event opportunities.Build go-to-market plans for sponsorship acquisition and retention.Forecast revenue pipelines and track KPIs.Business Development & PartnershipsIdentify and secure strategic sponsors, advertisers, and brand partners.Cultivate C-suite relationships with brands, agencies, startups, and ecosystem partners.Lead sponsorship negotiations, pricing, contracts, and renewals.Expand multi-event and long-term sponsorship agreements.Event Partnership ExecutionCollaborate with editorial, events, marketing, and production teams to ensure sponsor deliverables are executed.Oversee sponsor activation plans, on-site experiences, branding placements, and post-event reporting.Ensure high sponsor satisfaction and retention.Team LeadershipBuild and manage sponsorship sales teams and partnership managers.Establish sales processes, CRM workflows, and performance metrics.Mentor teams on relationship management and enterprise sales.Market & Brand DevelopmentMonitor sponsorship trends, competitor activities, and event industry developments.Develop innovative partnership models including digital activations, creator collaborations, and branded content integrations.Qualifications8–12+ years in sponsorship sales, event partnerships, media sales, business development, or related fields.Experience leading sponsorship programs for media brands, events, conferences, or experiential marketing.Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and closing high-value partnerships.Strong network across brands, agencies, startups, and corporate partners.Leadership experience managing revenue teams.Preferred ExperienceMedia, magazine, startup ecosystem, creator economy, or experiential events background.Knowledge of sponsorship analytics, CRM systems, and event tech platforms.Experience with integrated sponsorships (events + content + digital).KPIs / Success MetricsSponsorship revenue growthNumber/value of closed partnershipsSponsor retention rateEvent profitability contributionPipeline conversion ratePartner satisfaction scores
