This role will oversee the full lifecycle of grant management and provide leadership in financial oversight and regulatory compliance across a growing research portfolio.About the RoleThe organization is experiencing rapid research growth with multiple specialized research centers. Increased grant activity has created the need to expand the research finance function.The Research Grant Manager will manage pre‑award and post‑award grant operations, ensure compliance with federal funding requirements, and lead a small team supporting research finance activities.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the full lifecycle of grants, including pre‑award support and post‑award financial managementPartner with research teams to identify funding opportunities and support grant submissionsOversee financial reporting, accounting, and appropriate use of grant fundsEnsure compliance with federal grant regulations and support development of internal policies and proceduresSupervise and develop two direct reportsQualifications~5 years of experience in grant management or research financeExperience with federal grants and compliancePrior people management or supervisory experienceWorking knowledge of basic accounting principlesBachelor’s degree requiredPreferredExperience with Workday and/or EpicHealthcare, academic, or research environment experienceWork EnvironmentPrimarily onsite; limited hybrid flexibilityCandidates must be located in Texas
