Blaster ($20.41 + $1.50 Night Shift Premium)

Arcosa Wind Towers is seeking "Surface Prep Operator"/Blasters for the night shift. In this role you will operate hand tools and equipment to prepare interior and exterior surfaces for coating operations. This position also operates automated blast system and handheld grit ballast equipment to remove scale, corrosion, paint, and dirt.Location: Tulsa OK 74116, USASafety Sensitive: YesHoursMonday - Friday 4:30pm - 3am, with occasional mandatory overtime (Schedule/Overtime is subject to change based on business needs).What You'll DoPurge surfaces of all chemicals and contaminates through simple processesRemove scale, corrosion, paint, and dirtFollow all safety rules and practicesProficiently operate automated blast systemProficiently operate handheld grit blast systemMay metalize surfacesMay be involved in committees or initiativesPerform other duties as assignedPreferred Skills And Qualifications2+ years of experience in a manufacturing settingBasic knowledge of hand tools or ability to learn within 6 monthsKnowledge of handheld grit blast system or ability to learn within 6 monthsAbility to read, write and speak EnglishAbility to work as a team, demonstrate high ethical standards, treat all coworkers with dignity and respect and support a positive working cultureWorking ConditionsSafety sensitive positionFull-time hourly position, this position would require the candidate to be available for multiple shiftWork environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds which operate multiple shifts and frequent weekend shiftsThis position frequently requires work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidaysAbility to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant.Safety ActivitiesBe aware of and observe all safety practices.
