Microsoft Dynamics 365 Engineer for Supply Chain (Contract | 6–12 Month Engagement | Remote/Hybrid/On-site)We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Engineer with deep expertise in Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management (SCM) to support a 6–12 month contract engagement. This role focuses on designing, implementing, extending, integrating, and supporting supply chain solutions across warehousing, inventory, procurement, manufacturing, and logistics.This position partners closely with functional leads and business stakeholders to deliver stable, scalable, and upgrade-safe solutions within a defined project timeline. The ideal candidate brings strong technical depth in D365 SCM, a solid understanding of supply chain operations, and hands-on experience delivering enterprise-grade solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesSolution Design & DeliveryDesign and deliver Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management solutions across modules including:Inventory ManagementWarehouse Management (WMS)Transportation Management (TMS)Procurement & SourcingProduct Information ManagementMaster Planning, Manufacturing / Production Control, Asset Management (as applicable)Translate business and functional requirements into technical designs, estimates, and sprint-ready work items.Configure and extend D365 SCM following best practices to ensure upgradeability and long-term maintainability.Collaborate with functional consultants and stakeholders to align technical solutions with business outcomes.Development & CustomizationBuild and maintain D365 extensions using:X++, Visual Studio, and the D365 extension frameworkData entities, batch frameworks, SysOperation, and security artifactsDevelop and support custom services and APIs (OData/REST) for integrations and automation.Follow coding standards, extension patterns, and secure development practices.Integration & Data ManagementDesign and implement integrations with external systems such as 3PLs, EDI providers, carriers/shipping platforms, MES, and eCommerce systems.Leverage Azure integration services (Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus, API Management) where appropriate.Support data migration and synchronization using DMF, staging tables, validation, reconciliation, and cutover processes.Quality, Support & Delivery OperationsTroubleshoot and resolve defects, performance issues, and data or process inconsistencies.Implement logging, monitoring, and operational runbooks for integrations and batch jobs.Participate in code reviews, testing cycles, release cutovers, and post–go-live stabilization.Produce clear technical documentation and handoff materials at the conclusion of the engagement.Key Skills & QualificationsMust-Have:3+ years of hands-on engineering experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations / Supply Chain Management (or AX with strong D365 experience).Deep expertise in 2–3 Dynamics 365 Supply Chain modules (Warehouse Management strongly preferred).Strong proficiency with:X++, extension development model, and Visual Studio toolsData entities, DMF, batch processing, and security roles/duties/privilegesExperience building and supporting integrations using OData/REST/SOAP and data pipelines.Solid understanding of supply chain operations, including inventory, warehousing, procurement, fulfillment, and planning.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a delivery-focused contract role.Nice-to-Have:Advanced Warehouse Management experience (mobile device flows, work templates, wave processing, load building, location directives).Azure integration experience (Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus, Event Grid, API Management).DevOps experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, branching strategies, and automated deployments.Performance tuning experience (batch scaling, query optimization, telemetry, and monitoring).Microsoft certifications in Dynamics 365 SCM/F&O and/or Azure.Engagement DetailsEngagement Length: 6–12 monthsWork Model: Contract Start Date: ASAPHours: Full-time preferred / willing to do flexible hours Location: Remote
