Bridge Project Manager
Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Bridge Project Manager to lead and deliver bridge and transportation structure projects across Virginia and the Mid-Atlantic region. This opportunity is ideal for a senior bridge engineer transitioning into a client-facing project management role with increased leadership and delivery responsibilities.The selected candidate will oversee project execution, client coordination, schedule and resource management, and team leadership while leveraging strong technical bridge design expertise to ensure high-quality project outcomes.This role offers exposure to a wide range of projects, from mid-sized bridge assignments to large, complex transportation infrastructure and design-build pursuits.Key ResponsibilitiesLead bridge and structural projects within scope, schedule, and budgetServe as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholdersCoordinate technical teams to ensure quality deliverablesProvide technical oversight and guidance to bridge/structural staffDevelop and manage project plans, schedules, staffing plans, and quality processesMonitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategiesManage subconsultants and multidisciplinary project teamsCommunicate project status, financial performance, and updates to leadership and clientsReview invoices, progress reports, and project presentationsSupport staff development through mentoring and coachingAssist with business development, proposals, and client interviewsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with Structural focus from an ABET-accredited program10+ years of bridge and structural design experienceProfessional Engineer (PE) license requiredDemonstrated project management experience or progression into a PM roleStrong client-facing communication and leadership skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience with state DOT and local transportation agenciesExperience with Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, or P3 delivery methodsExperience managing multidisciplinary teamsBackground in large-scale transportation infrastructure projectsWork ScheduleHybrid schedule: 3 days in-office / 2 days remoteCompensationCompetitive salary based on experiencePerformance bonus eligibilityRelocation assistance availableWork EnvironmentPrimarily office-based with occasional field/site visitsLimited lifting and outdoor work may be required during site visits
