This rewarding internship will have a focus on machining and learning manufacturing processes. You will gain real world experience and knowledge related to various metal and plastic machining processes and the use of common measuring tools and measurement techniques.What will you do?Load raw materials and unload completed partsOperate multiple machines simultaneouslyPerform inspection of own parts and co-worker's workUse measurement tools i.e. snap gage, digital calipers, micrometers, optical comparator and other measuring instrumentsBe able to run select machines in departmentUtilize QMS, MAX & SPC data bases as neededPerform preventative maintenance on equipment including top-off lubricantsCleaning responsibilities including equipment, chip removal, and work areaFollow established procedures as well as quality and safety standardsMaintain safe work environmentWork under supervisionPerform other duties as assigned by the supervisorWhat are we looking for?High school diploma or general education degree (GED)Ideal candidates will have completed 1 year of engineering or pre-engineering college level courseworkBasic understanding of machining practicesEffective communication and interpersonal skillsStrong problem-solving skillsMotivated and shows willingness to learnTeam player who works in cooperation with othersDemonstrates a strong mechanical aptitudeCome join our team!
