Nursing Assistant
Job Summary
As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses or licensed practical nurses. Your compassion and dedication will contribute to the overall well-being of patients in various healthcare settings.
Duties
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, and feeding
- Take and record vital signs
- Support nursing staff in medical procedures and treatments
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
Requirements
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality
- Experience in medication administration and acute care settings is beneficial
- Familiarity with working in diverse healthcare environments like Level I Trauma Centers, ICUs, assisted living facilities, or home community care
- Ability to lift and transfer patients safely
- Experience with durable medical equipment (DME) is advantageous
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $23.17 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
