Job Summary Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Nursing Assistant, where you will play a vital role in providing compassionate, high-quality patient care across various medical settings. Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort. Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner. Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to HIPAA regulations. Prepare patient rooms and assist with hygiene procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment in compliance with aseptic techniques. Assist with specialized care needs including Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, and behavioral health support for patients with developmental disabilities. Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts for safe patient transfers and assist with phlebotomy procedures when trained. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in various settings including acute care units like ICU or Level I Trauma Centers, outpatient clinics, hospice care, or home & community care environments. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care activities following medical terminology standards. Observe and report changes in patient condition promptly to nursing staff or physicians. Support infection control protocols and ensure compliance with safety standards during all patient interactions. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a certified Nursing Assistant program is preferred. Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) or equivalent credential where applicable. Demonstrated experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals (including ICU or trauma centers), long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, or home health settings. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks is highly desirable. Experience with specialized patient populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, behavioral health patients, or individuals with disabilities is a plus. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy & physiology, aseptic techniques and basic life support (BLS). Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and communicate compassionately with patients of all ages. Strong attention to detail for accurate documentation and vital signs monitoring.
