Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Boring, OR, for an Allison Transmission Builder. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, rebuilding, and servicing Allison Transmissions and related powertrain components. Daily responsibilities include assembly, disassembly, inspection, and troubleshooting of transmission systems, as well as testing rebuilt units to ensure functionality and efficiency. The Allison Transmission Builder will collaborate with a skilled team to meet quality and safety standards and deliver excellent customer service. Qualifications Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing transmission lines and powertrain componentsExperience with troubleshooting and problem-solving mechanical and electrical issuesUnderstanding of electrical engineering concepts related to vehicle and transmission systemsProject management skills for tracking work processes and ensuring timely completionAbility to operate specialized tools and equipment used in transmission repair and rebuildingStrong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality controlPrevious experience working with Allison Transmissions is highly desirableTechnical certification or equivalent work experience in heavy-duty vehicle maintenance and repairAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
