Occupational Safety & Health Manager

About the JobCTSI is looking for an Occupational safety and Health Manager for our office in New York City. The ideal candidate must have experience in the development and implementation of safety and health programs, conducting risk assessments, and ensure compliance with NYC and NY state regulations along with OSHA Federal standards and regulations. This person needs to have hands-on experience performing field work and must be OSHA 501 certified trainer.Core Responsibilities:Develop and implement policies: This person will assist with the development, implementation and maintenance of health and safety policies and procedures for a variety of clientsConduct risk assessments: Inspect facilities to identify potential hazards, conduct risk assessments, and develop corrective actions.Provide training: The person must have proven experienced as a hands-on trainer in various OSHA topics such as : LOTO, HazCom, PPE, fall protection, etc.Manage reporting: Compile and submit accident, injury, and other required reports to regulatory agencies for a variety of different clientsEnsure legal compliance: This person must stay current with federal, state, and local laws and regulations to ensure that clients remain compliant. This will require the interpretation of OSHA , NFPA and other standards and the application in different types of industries.Essential Skills and Qualifications:Associate's degree in occupational safety and health, engineering, or other related science and 3 years of relevant experience. ORBachelor's degree in occupational safety and health, engineering, other related science 1-2years of relevant experience.OSHA 501 certified instructor.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong understanding of risk assessments and data analysis.The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms. Employee is also required to climb a ladder, carry equipment/tools while climbing the ladder, bend over, go into tight work areas/crawlspaces, and on many occasions work in overly hot or cold temperatures conditions such as boiler/steam rooms, exterior etc.This position requires the ability to occasionally lift equipment and supplies, up to 30 pounds.No relocation assistance.Candidate must live within the New York or New Jersey Area.Part time position is also available to qualifying candidates.About the Company
