Working closely with Technical Design, Design, Product Development, Production, and external vendors, the Assistant Technical Designer will support fittings, technical documentation, sample tracking, and day-to-day communication throughout the product lifecycle.This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career technical designer who is eager to build their expertise within a fast-paced, innovative, and rapidly growing global brand.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Design & Product DevelopmentSupport the Technical Design team throughout the development and production lifecycle, from initial prototype through final production approval.Assist in creating, updating, and maintaining technical packages, including measurements, construction details, specifications, and fit comments.Review samples against technical specifications and identify inconsistencies in measurements, construction, and workmanship.Assist with measuring garments accurately and maintaining measurement specifications throughout development.Support the creation and maintenance of grade rules and size specifications.Help ensure product consistency across styles, categories, and size ranges.Fit SessionsPrepare garments, technical documentation, and measurement information for fit sessions.Attend fittings and accurately capture fit comments, construction changes, and required sample revisions.Assist Technical Designers in communicating clear and actionable fit comments to vendors and factories.Maintain organized fit records and track changes across sample iterations.Help ensure fit approvals and deadlines remain aligned with the product development calendar.Technical DocumentationMaintain accurate and up-to-date technical information within PLM and other internal systems.Support updates to tech packs, construction details, sketches, measurements, and fit comments.Assist with reviewing factory submissions and ensuring requested changes have been accurately executed.Maintain organized records of samples, approvals, fit history, and technical documentation.Cross-Functional PartnershipPartner closely with Design, Product Development, Production, Merchandising, and Technical Design teams to support the successful execution of product.Communicate with domestic and international vendors regarding samples, measurements, fit comments, and technical updates.Help identify potential fit or construction issues early and escalate concerns appropriately.Support multiple styles and development timelines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseBachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, Product Development, Apparel Production, or a related field preferred.1–2 years of technical design, product development, or apparel production experience; relevant internships will also be consideredFoundational understanding of garment construction, patternmaking, fit, measurements, and gradingExperience measuring garments and working with technical specificationsFamiliarity with technical packages and product development processesExperience with PLM systems is preferredProficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft ExcelStrong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsComfortable receiving feedback, asking questions, and learning quicklyCollaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams and functions.Benefits, Culture and PerksBenefits And CultureUp to 100% Company Paid Healthcare (medical, dental, vision) Kind Body Fertility Benefits 401(k) savings plan with up to 4% match Unlimited PTO Full Access to LinkedIn learning Employee Discounts Perks (HQ Location)Free weekly catered lunch at HQ – M/T/W/ThDog-Friendly office on a Thursday and FridayFree Swag Giveaways Annual Holiday Party Annual Summer Party Invitations to pop-ups and other company events Complimentary daily office snacks and beverages Compensation: $26.00 - $30.00 / hour
