Job Title : Lead Full Stack Engineer (Struts Modernization)Role : FTE ( No Subcontractor)Mode : Hybrid Location : Westlake TX/ Smithfield RHVisa : No Sponsorship Available.Job DutiesLead the complete modernization and re-engineering of a legacy Struts-based application, transforming monolithic architectures into scalable and maintainable enterprise solutions aligned with target-state technology standards.Drive architecture decisions and establish modernization roadmaps for migrating applications from IBM WebSphere to modern Java-based platforms utilizing Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Angular.Analyze existing business processes, application functionality, integrations, and technical dependencies to identify modernization opportunities and migration risks.Design and develop high-performing enterprise applications with focus on resiliency, scalability, security, maintainability, and operational excellence.Provide technical leadership across development teams through architecture reviews, code reviews, design sessions, and engineering best-practice adoption.Lead WebSphere migration, middleware modernization, application deployment, and production cutover planning activities.Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, architects, systems analysts, quality engineers, and product owners to ensure successful delivery of modernization objectives.Drive implementation of CI/CD, DevOps automation, observability, and performance optimization initiatives across the modernization workstream.Mentor engineers and establish development standards for Java, Angular, Spring Boot, API development, cloud adoption, and application modernization.Support technical risk analysis, issue resolution, and delivery governance activities throughout the lifecycle of the transformation initiative.Skills Required :10 + yrs of experienceMust have Exp with StrutsMust have exp with Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Angular.Life at CapgeminiCapgemini supports all aspects of your well-being throughout the changing stages of your life and career.
