Project Cost Controls Engineer

Project Cost Controls EngineerRole OverviewThis role is central to maintaining control over project cost and reporting for large mega-size commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate brings deep experience with Procore, strong organizational skills, and a proactive approach to coordinating stakeholders across multiple project phases. You will be responsible for maintaining facilitating cost and change control and ensuring project controls are aligned with company and client expectations. This is an onsite position.Key ResponsibilitiesProject ControlsMaintain and update project reporting schedules, budgets, and cost forecastsMonitor key performance indicators and generate status reports for leadershipSupport cost tracking and variance analysisCollaborate with field and office teams to ensure timely data exchangeChange ManagementOversee and document all project scope, schedule, and cost changesCoordinate internal and client-facing change approval workflowsMaintain a robust change log for reporting and auditingAnalyze impacts of changes and support mitigation planningPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)5+ years of experience in a similar role within commercial constructionExpertise in Procore document workflows and reporting toolsSolid understanding of commercial project lifecycles and construction documentation standardsExcellent interpersonal, analytical, and time management skillsTools & TechnologiesPlatformLevel of ProficiencyProcoreAdvancedMicrosoft ExcelAdvancedSharePoint / EDMSFamiliarityPreferred QualificationsProcore certificationExperience with industry standards cost controlAbility to train and support project teams on best practicesPhysical Requirements:Ability to sit for extended periods of timeAbility to use a computer for prolonged periodsOccasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and armsAbility to lift and carry office supplies and equipment up to 20 poundsEqual Employment Opportunity Statement:BE&K Building Group is an equal opportunity employer.
