Graduate Assistantship - Admissions

Number of Positions: 1Anticipated Start Date: Position Available ImmediatelyJob Description: This position requires working up to 19 hours per week in the Admissions Office. Responsibilities are varied and support the overall mission, enrollment goals, and student engagement efforts of Waynesburg University. The Graduate Assistant will report directly to the Director of Admissions and collaborate with the admissions team on a wide range of projects and initiatives.Duties and Responsibilities:Explain admissions requirements, policies, and procedures to prospective students and familiesProcess and review admission applications with accuracy and attention to detailConsult with prospective students regarding financial status, application progress, and admission decisionsEnsure completion of all required credentials for applicant filesManage inventory of brochures and promotional materialsDevelop and propose creative strategies to increase application completion rates among targeted populationsRepresent the University at college fairs, high school visits, and other recruitment events (travel required)Create, maintain, and update spreadsheets and reports using Microsoft ExcelConduct research and support special admissions-related projectsCommunicate with inquiries, applicants, and deposited students through multiple channels (email, phone, CRM systems, etc.)Enter and maintain accurate data in the CRM and the SISAssist with mail campaigns and other outreach initiativesPerform other admissions-related duties as assignedJob Qualifications:Must be enrolled in (or accepted into) a graduate program at Waynesburg UniversityStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to interact professionally with diverse populationsDemonstrated initiative, organization, and attention to detailProficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with databases preferredWillingness and ability to travel for recruitment eventsValid driver's license requiredApplication Instructions: Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
